About the Nashville Chapter of the AMA
The Nashville Chapter of the American Marketing Association, NAMA, is one of 75 local AMA chapters in the United States and Canada. Our purpose is to provide networking, educational, and volunteer opportunities designed to help marketing professionals throughout Middle Tennessee "Get Connected."
Founded in the late 1960s, NAMA is stronger than ever today. The Nashville Chapter has seen its membership nearly triple since 2004. It represents a diverse group of professionals from all facets of marketing including research, branding, communications, advertising, public relations, sales and consulting.

About the American Marketing Association
The American Marketing Association, AMA, has 38,000 members nationwide. AMA members enjoy benefits at the local and national level. National benefits include:

The AMA maintains close contact with local chapters and provides many valuable resources to assist and strengthen local chapters and their members. Each AMA chapter is supported by the Professional Chapters Council (PCC), a group of 10 past presidents from local chapters in the United States and Canada. The PCC's primary responsibilities are to:
- Strengthen the AMA's value to local chapters.
- Develop and manage programs to enhance the overall effectiveness of chapters and chapter management.
- Be an advocate for professional members to International Headquarters and the AMA Board of Directors.
AMA Mission Statement
